Schweitzer Mountain

Description:

The quickest route to groomed trails for cross country skiing is Schweitzer Mountain, where you can kick and glide or skate on 32K of trails for a small fee.

There are countless options on this scenic network of trails. We thought we would highlight a few of the more popular trails and leave the rest for you to explore and discover on your own.

Picnic Point Out and Back

This is a lovely trek that will take you through some of Schweitzer’s more accessible and scenic terrain. Start at the village trailhead and follow Overland to the GRR trail intersection and turn left. Take GRR out to Picnic Point. Bring your lunch.

* Terrain: Gentle ups and downs.

* Distance: 3mi/5k round trip

Overland Trail Loop
