Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. A free performance of a classic William Shakespeare play is staged at Lakeview Park, 801 Ontario St., performed by this traveling Montana troupe. Shakespeareintheparks.org/menu/full-schedule. This year’s performances will be The Merchant of Venice on the 20th, and Much Ado About Nothing on the 22nd. 5 p.m. In case of rain, forest fire smoke, or extreme heat, alternate venue will be the Sandpoint High School performing auditorium.

Meeting at the Cedar Street Bridge, 334 N. First Ave., each 75-minute tour features a local historian sharing fascinating stories of the key families and businesses from Sandpoint’s earliest days. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth under 18, and free for children under 6.
